Sustainable Silverware

Have silverware that has started to rust or is bent in every possible way? Don’t throw them away but use them in these creative ideas that can add something special to your home.

Instead of buying hooks from the store that can put a dent in your wallet. You can flatten out silverware and nail them to the wall to create your own hooks for keys, coats, or for anything you would like! For full instructions and story behind these hooks, go to readymade.com!

The next two ideas were found on countryliving.com. The first idea is to use two of the same or different pieces of silverware as door pulls. These door pulls can be used anywhere in the house (why not try using these fork and spoon door pulls on your kitchen cabinets.) Another idea that might take a little bit more work is a silverware chandelier that can be found on Re-nest. You can create this lighting fixture for cheap and it also acts as a conversation piece when you have guests come over.
